MOUSEY

MOUSEY is an extention of Windows Desktop Environment which can interact with all Windows app(s).

The main goal of MOUSEY is to bring main app actions like close/minimize app to your mouse location.

Move your mouse pointer ontop of an app screen and click the middle mouse button. You can now start using MOUSEY by clicking by any desired action button.

Or use Voice activation with the Keywords: "Mousee" or "Cortana".

Enable Vision for webcam activation by pointing your finger to the webcam.

MOUSEY can also hide itself when you move your mouse pointer away to the outerbounds.

Laptop (touchpad) and touch devices

There is a way to hookup the three finger tap (touchpad) (in Windows 10/11) for performing the middle mouse click. Look in to the settings of your touchpad. Setup three finger tab on the touchpad to perform a middle mouse click option.

Actions

you can interact with a app by using the actions buttons like close/minimize etc.

Available options

Close an app.
Maximize/minimize/minimize all/restore normal size of an app.
Stack app left/right.
Show Windows taskbar.
Print screen app content.
Show Windows start.
Perform a save of the app content.
Browse back/forward in explorer/app/web browser.
App tab actions close/add/back/forward a tab.

The action buttons close and minimize will try to refocus on the next visible app on your mouse position. This means that MOUSEY will interact with the next visible app on your mouse position. Same operation can be repeated by clicking the close or minimize button again.

Taskbar

MOUSEY can keep track the apps what you use. It can add the app to the taskbar overall view. The key benifit is that you can interact with the app like starting an new instance or closing the existing ones all at the same time. For example if you have 30 Chrome tabs open, and you want to use them later on without creating any bookmarks. Just open the MOUSEY taskbar and right click on the app icon, and click close. All instances will be closed. When you open Chrome browser again, Chrome app will ask you if you want to restore all previous tabs.

You can also start/close multiple apps at the same time, just select the application what you want to start/close and hit the enter key. This feature i very handy when you boot your device.

Dashboard

The dashboard is a web page which is visible when Mousey is shown. You can give in any url, like for example www.bing.com or www.facebook.com etc. You could use it for seeing your business kpi's or your personal work dashboard etc. To setup your dashboard you need to follow these steps:
The dashboard settings give you several options like, reload the url when Mousey is shown, or perform the web search with the dashboard.

Notifier

The notifier is a great feature when used with for example with a webapi service in combination with a mssq architecture, or with a db queuing approach. The main goal is to pull interactions (pull concept: for security reasons) from a webapi and perform Mousey command actions like opening a Office 365 documentt or your back office web system pages.

The notifier works on the background, and will execute when the interval is reached.

Here are some idea's how you can use it:

  • Automate Office 365.
  • Open up your apps/web apps when a mutation or interaction is needed.
  • Automate repetitive app interactions, like making it more active advise system, and let your applications guide the way.
  • You can make a role based -> team applications where managers can distribute/guide the work loads.
  • Retrieve regularly data which is needed to perform the tasks like stock options or news bullits etc.
  • Complete the Scrum work method in your company with Unit of work.
  • Async task your employees.
  • Time coordinate tasks of your employees.

Click on the to open up the notifier screen.

You can make the notifications user specific by entering userid/email. This value will be passed to the webapi service. The second input is to specify the service name. The service url is the url of your webapi service. You can either specify or calculate the execution schedule time (in minutes). To generate a schedule time you can provide the minutes value and click on the generate button. To save your service, click the ok button.

You can delete/update or trigger execution of a service by right clicking in the notifications list.

I have created a sample webapi service project for the developers on github. You can use the following link to get the example sources: Github example project
